"I've never been married and I've only ever been loved well by the important men in my life, so this poem is not written from personal experience. One night I had a very vivid dream of being married to a man who seemed to detest me. I couldn't do anything to please him and I felt fear to my core. When I woke up I chose to use the feelings I experienced in the dream to appeal to women who may, sadly, feel this way every day. I believe Christ can, in the secret space of the heart and mind, show us a pure and transcending love, no matter what our circumstances are."
